Are you looking for physical or emotional support? Do you need practical tools to manage stress or chronic tension within your body? Yoga offers a wide variety of techniques to meet you where you're at physically and help you to become more aware of the mind-body connection.
The word yoga means 'union' and it encompasses a wide variety of practices, hundreds of different styles, breathing techniques, movement, singing and meditation. The physical practice of yoga (hatha) is meant to be a way to reconnect our bodies to our mind and spirit. Yoga is not a religion, but much of the traditional philosophy supports Christian tenants. You will learn how to use yoga as a devotional and reflective practice to enhance your walk with God.
This practice is inclusive for men and women (ages 16+) who are able to transition up or down from the floor. Come as you are to explore gentle and beginner-friendly postures (asana), connect with other like-minded friends and your body. Please bring a yoga mat or beach towel. Practice will be enjoyed outdoors when weather permits.
